Instrumental lessons/orchestra

Our school has had an internal “music school” for twenty years, which offers regular instrumental lessons by professional musicians in small groups. It has around 450 musical instruments and has now trained several hundred students on all kinds of instruments. All students at the “Music School” play in various ensembles in the school orchestra. Advanced players play “brass rock” in the big band.

Performances and concerts of the “Music School” take place throughout the year, for example at Carnival, Corpus Christi or St. Martin’s Day. Concerts are given in the old people’s home as well as in the town hall or the Federal Art Gallery. The artistic range of our young musicians extends from beginners to aspiring professional musicians. The members of our “music school” are intensively supported through contacts and temporary employment with other music ensembles and music institutions in the region, such as music clubs, professional orchestras, radio, cultural management or regional music associations.
