Stumbling upon moving stories

The Q2 history courses launched an exciting first project in partnership with WDR. Stolpersteine are small brass plaques in the pavement that commemorate people persecuted, deported or murdered during the Nazi era.

The students studied Stolpersteine in Bonn, researched biographies and learned how texts and graphic stories for a Stolperstein app can be created. The project was supported by Ms Miersch, Ms Odens and WDR.

In this way, remembrance became concrete, local and connected to students’ own research.
